Synopsis/Forecast for Sunday March 4th (Updated 6:30 am cst)

A convergence/trough line that has been dropping southward across southern Wisconsin overnight will go stationary today across extreme southern Lake Michigan into northeast Illinois today.  More snow showers are possible closer to Lake Michigan because of lake enhancement as the winds turn northeasterly along the lakeshore.  There could be some snow showers over the Stateline but very little snow is expected.  Flurries are more likely.

A fast moving system will drop southeast today from the northern plains to near Cairo, Illinois by 6 pm this evening.  It will lay down a band of snow from northwest to southeast Iowa, and from west central Illinois to southeast Illinois.  The band could well be several inches, but will be well to the west and southwest of the Stateline area.

Today:  Cloudy with some snow flurries.  A chance of snow showers this morning.
High:  32 degrees
Wind: Northwest 5-8 mph
