Warm & Windy

A Wind Advisory is now in effect for Lee and DeKalb counties through 6pm.

This time of year the warmth and wind go hand-in-hand.  While temperatures today will reach the middle 50s, sustained winds from the south will reach 25 mph and gusts could top 40 mph later this afternoon making travel on east/west roads a little difficult at times.  While we still have some of that white stuff on the ground the snow depth is fairly shallow so the 50s are a good bet today while locations just to our south could reach the 60s due to lack of snow cover.  Whatever snow we had left from yesterday will likely be gone by tonight.

Due to the low relative humidity and strong southerly winds, Red Flag Warnings have been issued across the Plains and middle Mississippi River Valley.
