Despite the cloud cover Sunday afternoon a warm front lifted just far enough to the north to bump our temperatures into the low to mid 70s while our neighbors to the north in south-central Wisconsin remained in the mid-50s. While it wasn't a record breaker the high made it to 75° in Rockford.
Today, however, will be a different story. Northwest winds on the backside of the low will continue to pull down cooler air keeping our temperatures holding steday in the mid and upper 40s this afternoon. Now we will likely see highs rise towards the end of the week but that will also come with the threat for thunderstorms towards this weekend.
