Earliest 80 Ever

The high temperature at the Rockford Airport hit 82 degrees this afternoon. Not only does this shatter the record high temperature for the date of 73 degrees set back in 1995, this is also the earliest we've ever hit 80 or higher in over 100 years of record-keeping in Rockford! (The previous record was an 82 degree day on March 23rd, 1939.)
