Storms Possible Monday Night
It will be mostly cloudy and damp overnight with a stationary front holding off to the southwest. Patchy fog is possible after midnight with a low in the middle 40's. On Monday there could be some areas of fog early in the morning. It will remain mostly cloudy with the front continuing to be stationary off to our southwest. The high will be in the middle 60's. The next system to affect the Stateline will move in on Monday night with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be in the middle 50's. There could be some lingering showers and thunderstorms until the system clears the Stateline sometime around noon on Tuesday. High pressure originally from the Pacific will be over the northern plains on Tuesday afternoon. It will be partly cloudy with a high around 65 degrees. A northerly air flow just to the east of the high will tap some Canadian air on Tuesday night dropping temperatures into the upper 30's on Tuesday night. It will be sunny on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Canadian connection will continue, and nighttime temperatures will be chilly dropping into the mid 30's early Thursday morning and early Friday morning. Afternoon temperatures will be in the middle to upper 50's. One has to consider that although these temperatures seem quite chilly, they are really still at or a little above average. They seem chilly because the Stateline has been so far above average since the 10th of March that we have become accustomed to them. The high pressure will shift off to the east on Saturday, and a light southerly wind flow will develop. A Pacific front will approach from the west on Saturday afternoon bringing the area a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The chances of showers and storms will decrease later on Saturday night as the front passes off to the east. Another Pacific fair weather area of high pressure will provide the area with a pleasant day on Sunday with lots of sunshine, and temperatures in the low 60's.
