| August Summary |
At many points this August, I had to remind myself that it was still summer and not autumn. We've struggled to climb to average high temps much of this month. We did have some days peak at or above average highs, but overall this summer, ~60% of our days have been unseasonably cool! So when we look ahead in the forecast, it is interesting to see such a significant turnaround. Temps will peak in the low 90s this week and above average conditions will stick around for some time. The average high for late August is 82°. Long range computer models indicate the heat may persist at least into early September. - MT
