After a very wet start to the summer, Mother Nature has turned off the waterworks for the Stateline.
Here are the official numbers for the summer, which includes August through Monday the 19th. While the overall summer is pretty average in terms of total precipitation, June was the only month that saw any significant rain.
Some relief is on the way, but the question is how much. A cold front is set to bring showers and storms to the Stateline Wednesday night and Thursday. The official NWS forecast is calling for 0.25-0.5" of rain during this time. Ahead of this system we'll see afternoon highs near 90°, which will dry things out even more. No significant rain chances are in the 7-day forecast after Thursday. -BA
