Expect flakes to fly overnight Tuesday through midday Wednesday. Winter weather advisories are in effect until 8am Wednesday for Green and Rock counties in southern Wisconsin as heavier snow is expected there. Upwards of 4" can be expected for our Wisconsin counties, while 2-3" can be expected elsewhere.
This week, we're experiencing another snowy pattern: we got some snow Monday night into Tuesday morning, getting more through Wednesday and could be seeing some more precipitation on Friday. So what's the deal? The jet stream, which are fast moving winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere, steer weather systems, so the snow has been riding from the Pacific coast through the upper Midwest and crossing right over the Stateline. - MT
