If you were hoping for a warm up, or at least back near average temperatures close to the end of November, you may be waiting for a while. A series of cold fronts and Arctic high pressure systems look to be the weather rule of thumb through at least next weekend and possibly into the first few days during the week of Thanksgiving. A very persistent upper level pattern will keep a ridge of high pressure building across western Canada and into Alaska. This will continue to help dislodge colder air from the north and allow it spill south into the heart of the U.S. Temperatures look to remain at least 10° to 15° below average into next week.
