11:25am Update: Haven't seen any lightning strikes just yet, which tells us what's falling now is just heavy rain. And heavy downpours they will be. Beginning to see those showers become a little more widespread as we head close to the Noon hour. Storm coverage may begin to ramp up in the early afternoon, with a few stronger wind gusts.
As an upper level disturbance moves south out of Wisconsin and into Northern Illinois late Monday morning, look for widely scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop.
As of 10:30am, we've already begun to see the radar light up a little with those showers as cumulus clouds continue to build.
While any threat for severe weather will remain low Monday, there is a decent amount of moisture in the atmosphere - over an inch. This means that with any rain that does develop, heavier downpours will be likely. Unfortunately, not everyone will get in on the rain but we'll take what we can get.
Look for storm coverage to continue to increase through 2pm today, before winding down after 5pm.
