If traveling, roads will be wet. As the disturbance pulls away from the Stateline, clouds will gradually clear into the afternoon. Despite the additional sun, a northwest breeze will limit high temperatures to the upper 30s, close to 40-degrees.
But just as quick as clouds were to decrease, we can expect clouds to increase before midnight. This is all thanks to a secondary disturbance that dives into the central plains from the Pacific Northwest.
Models continue to take the center of this disturbance into the southern plains, leaving the highest potential for accumulations to our south and west. Locally, a scattered round of snow showers will be possible into the mid-day hours, with clouds gradually decreasing ahead of the evening commute.
Cooler air filtering in on the backside of Friday's disturbance will keep high temperatures below average for the start of the weekend. Expect highs Saturday to briefly hit the 30° mark.
Again, this upcoming cool down is brief as we look to see warmer flow set up early next week. By Monday, high temperatures will peak in the mid-40s, with close to 50° weather returning Tuesday.
