First of two systems to pass later today

10:30am Update: Light showers continue to slowly move through Jo Daviess and Carroll counties and are near Stockton and Savanna.  These have formed along a weak boundary that will move through later this afternoon.  Should the showers hold together they would be near the Rockford area around 3pm or 4pm.  Otherwise, look for mostly sunny skies to continue into the afternoon.

A few light showers have formed in a narrow band across eastern Iowa early this morning and have ever so slowly been moving to the north/northeast.  Most of this morning will be dry for all as a southerly wind helps to push the showers currently in Jo Daviess county into southern Wisconsin.

As this weak cool front moves in later this afternoon and evening a few light showers may be with you as you head home from work.  Amounts, if any, shouldn't be too significant as the main forcing with this first system is well north into Canada.  A second, and stronger, cold front will move through during Wednesday afternoon and that will likely cause more widespread rainfall during the afternoon and evening.
