Stephenson County Fair Forecast

It's fair time!!!!  I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited about it!  The Stephenson County Fair kicks off this week with the 4-H exhibits today and gates opening to the public Tuesday.  There's a lot to do this year at the fair from the livestock and home-ec showings to the music at the Entertainment and Rest Tent and of course the main attractions at the Grandstand.  Click here for more information on the schedule and events.

If you're planning on heading out to Freeport to enjoy some great fair food and fun make sure you plan accordingly; especially for today and tomorrow (Tuesday).  We've got a little break in the weather from this morning that will likely continue through the first half of the afternoon.  However, a stationary boundary in place across the Wisconsin/Illinois border could be the focus for additional thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening.  The biggest day of concern will be Tuesday as strong to severe thunderstorms are possible.  Make sure if you're going to be out Tuesday you have a way to receive watches and warnings and remain prepared for the weather.  Once the cold front passes early Wednesday it's smooth sailing to the end of the week!  High pressure will dominate the skies through Saturday with the only threat for rain moving back into the forecast Sunday.
