How Much Snow Tuesday?

People have been wondering how much snow we're going to see on Tuesday, but don't worry... those rumors about a foot or more of the white stuff are just that. Rumors. Here's the latest on what we're seeing.

The latest computer models are putting the heaviest band of snow south of the Stateline for Tuesday. That's great news for us, but terrible news for central Illinois. More than half a foot of the white stuff will be possible downstate with this next storm.

Futurecast Snow: Tuesday Thru Wednesday Morning
The Stateline is looking at enough snow to shovel on Tuesday, but that's about it. The forecast is calling for 1-2" for southern Wisconsin and 2-4" for northern Illinois through Wednesday morning. You can check out for the full Winter Storm Impact forecast below.

Futurecast Snow: Tuesday Thru Wednesday Morning

Our biggest worry with this next storm system is increasing winds that will cause low visibilities and blowing and drifting snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Because of the potential for hazardous driving conditions, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Carroll and Whiteside counties for Tuesday.

We'll keep you posted if the National Weather Service issues any new watches or warnings as the snow creeps closer. -BA
