Saturday Snow Totals

The worst of the winter storm is wrapping up and it looks like the heaviest of the snow stayed in central Illinois, just missing the Stateline. Here's a check of the radar as of mid-morning on Saturday and you can see just some light to moderate scattered snow showers across the the area.  They will continue to taper off throughout the day.

Greater snow amounts were seen in our southern counties since they were closer to the center of the low pressure, where the most moisture is.  But even the highest snow totals weren't as significant as previously forecasted.  However, we're not done with the snow quite yet! Another system on Tuesday will bring us more, and it could pack quite a punch.  We'll have the details outlining that system in future blog posts--so stay tuned! - MT
