Difficult Driving Conditions Wednesday

If you're planning to head out on the roads this morning, you'll want to prepare for some difficult driving conditions. As of 6:30 this morning a band of showers is pushing across the Stateline and heading to the east northeast.

Currently tracking through Rockford, but will then head east, crossing over 39 and I-90 and into Dekalb and beyond. Combing this with drizzle, wet and slick roads, and strong wind gusts, will make driving a little harder this today.

Our current winds are gusting from the southeast and south west up to about 45mph with sustained winds from 20-30mph. The winds will die down for a period of time before more strong wind gusts - near 40mph - arrive. You'll want to take it a little slow this morning, especially in higher profile vehicles.
