Another Round of Storms Brew Tonight

It will be another summer-like afternoon with temperatures climbing to near 80°. But an incoming cold front and low pressure system, currently to our west, bring a threat for strong storms this evening. The Storm Prediction Center has the area under a Slight risk for strong to severe storms. This means that while storms are likely, we could see a couple that make it to severe limits.

The heightened severe risk today and this afternoon is positioned in the 'Enhanced' and 'Moderate' risk areas, the orange and red areas respectively. This is where there could be a severe storm outbreak, with all severe weather hazards possible, including tornadoes.

For the Stateline area, the primary threats to watch for include heavy rain, potentially large hail, and strong wind gusts. Storms begin this evening and will last through the over night into the early morning hours Thursday. In storms tonight, it's possible to pick up about an inch of rain.

We haven't had much of a storm threat so far this year, so make sure to have multiple ways to receive

warnings should we get them!

We have another round of storms to watch for that arrive late Thursday!
