Multiple Rain Chances May Cause Some Flooding

A rainy and colder Friday, feeling more like Fall than Spring this afternoon.  Unfortunately, more rain is to come going through the night and the weekend, with a few thunderstorms coming into play as well.  We are under a Slight Risk for severe weather for much of the Stateline Saturday late afternoon and evening, and there are plenty more rain and storm chances to come afterwards as well.

As we head through this evening we'll get a few isolated showers, but otherwise we'll stay dry until we head into the late night and overnight hours.  Scattered showers will move in for the overnight, with areas of heavy rain and a few rumbles of thunder being possible as well.

Once we get to Saturday morning, the cooler temperatures in the mid 40's will lower instability and allow for a period of lighter rainfall across our area, which will last into early afternoon.  The rain will stay isolated during that time as well.

Once we reach the late afternoon and evening hours of Saturday, the slightly warmer temperatures will increase instability and build more showers and a few isolated thunderstorms across the Stateline.  As we head into the evening, our chances for a few strong wind gusts and small-sized hail will come into play.

Once we get passed midnight, the thunderstorms and showers will be dying down.  This will allow for some dry time during the overnight, but temperatures will also be on the cooler side in the mid 40's due to northerly winds rushing into the area through Sunday morning.

By the time we get to Sunday afternoon this warm front will slightly push northward, allowing for the warm, moist air to rush in from the south.  This will warm us up to the mid 60's Sunday afternoon, but skies will stay cloudy.  A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon as well because of the front.

Afterwards we'll have a fairly active work week as multiple systems will be in play, bringing us chances for thunderstorms and showers throughout the work week.  On the bright side, temperatures will warm back up to the 80's by the middle of next week.

With all these rain chances coming up, flooding will our main concern going through the weekend and next week, so do be cautious if you live in a low-lying area or near a body of water.
