Strong Storms Possible Midweek

As you read about in the previous post, by the middle of the week the threat for storms increases, after a pleasant and dry start to the week.

Warm air moves in late today and into Tuesday, ahead of a developing low pressure system to our west. This will help temperatures Tuesday to climb to near 80°, as high pressure exits the area to the east. Moisture will be drawn northward through the middle of the week as well ahead of the low and it's warm front.

A couple rounds of showers and storms will be possible Wednesday morning and then again Wednesday afternoon and evening, depending on if the atmosphere can 'recover' from any of the rain Wednesday morning. Periods of heavy rain and even hail will be possible, so keep an eye here for more updates! The higher threat for strong to severe storms is in the yellow shaded area, the slight risk, but it's possible for that area to shift north as well.
