Much of the central and southern portions of the Stateline are dealing with reduced visibility. As you can see on our Mercyhealth Skycam overlooking the Rochelle Airport, there is quite a bit of fog. Visibility is down to half a mile in Rochelle and DeKalb, so take it slow as you head out and about.
The holiday countdown is on! There is only three more days until until you can chow down on your Thanksgiving feast. In a mere 36 days, Old St. Nick will be paying the Stateline a visit. In only 43 days, we will be ringing in 2019! And just in case you were wondering... 139 days until my birthday!
With only three days until Thanksgiving, your turkey day travel weather looks great for the Stateline. Mid and upper 30s Tuesday and Wednesday with partly cloudy skies. It should end up being a "turkey"rific Thursday with an "eat" wave as temperatures will top out in the lower 40s.
We will continue to see mid 40s around into the upcoming weekend. Beyond that our 8-14 day outlook appears to show the at or near average highs will be a thing of the past. Much of the state is expected to be at least slightly cooler than normal as we end November and start December.
