6:15pm Update: All severe weather has moved out of the Stateline. Although we are under a Severe T-Storm Watch until 10:00pm, the severe threat will continue to shrink this evening. Precision Doppler at 6:14pm shows some lingering showers and storms in parts of Lee and DeKalb counties. Some small hail is still possible in these areas, but nothing that would warrant a new warning.
4:45pm Update: Two Severe T-Storm Warnings remain in effect for the Stateline.
Rock County (WI) until 5:00pm
McHenry County until 5:30pm.
These storms have a history of producing hail and gusty winds. If you live in these areas, go inside and away from windows until these storms have passed.
While not under a warning, storms in Whiteside, Lee, and DeKalb counties are still capable of producing larger hail and heavy rain. Use caution if you live in these areas, as well.
Original Post: Plenty of severe weather to talk about on our Mother's Day. Here's the current list of warnings as of 4:08pm:
Green County (WI) until 4:15pm
Ogle/Winnebago/Boone until 4:15pm
Whiteside and Lee until 4:45pm
Boone and McHenry until 5:00pm
The main concern with these storms is large hail, although strong winds will also be possible. We'll keep you posted as we get updates. -BA
Do you think we are at risk for a tornados over night.
ReplyDeleteNo. If we see any more storms, wind and hail would be the biggest concerns. -BA
