Thursday Night Severe Weather Update

11:00pm Video Update: Still a slight chance of severe weather tonight. At the moment, we're tracking two lines of storms. Main concerns will be strong winds and larger hail. Severe threat should be done by Friday morning.

Original Post: Severe weather will be possible Thursday night for the entire Stateline.

Two rounds of thunderstorms are expected to move through the area as we head through the overnight. The first round will be Thursday evening. After a break around midnight, more storms will be possible overnight Thursday and into Friday morning.

The Storm Prediction Center has the Stateline under a Slight Risk for severe storms. A Moderate Risk in Iowa and Minnesota will be the area most favorable for tornadoes. The good news is a severe weather watch is not anticipated for the Stateline as severe storms look to be isolated in nature.

If we do see any severe storms, strong winds and large hail will be the main concerns. While stronger storms will be possible throughout the night, the best timing for any severe weather will be through midnight. -BA
