Stormy Weekend Ahead

We lucked out last weekend with a rare completely dry weekend. This weekend the pattern changes and brings stormy weather to the Stateline. We will squeeze out a nice dry Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will warm into the low 80's under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will fall into the low 60's, with a little patchy fog possible. Thunderstorms will develop to the west in the Nebraska area, that will track to the north east Friday night but will weaken as it does so. There is a slight chance a few of the lingering storms could cross the Mississippi into north western Illinois by early Saturday. A warm front that has been stalled in southern Illinois and to the west will slowly lift north through Saturday afternoon and evening. There is a chance for isolated storms on Saturday but storms will be likely Saturday evening and overnight through Sunday morning. Biggest concerns Saturday night and Sunday morning will be a heavy rain threat with 1-2" of rain possible, as well as stronger wind gusts. Saturday night we could see a couple isolated stronger storms but there is a slight risk on Sunday for strong to even severe storms. If the rain moves out quick enough Sunday morning then there is the potential for temperatures to warm very close to 90°. Monday also has the potential to hit 90° but cloud cover and rain could keep that down.
