This weekend won't be as warm as Friday, but it won't be a washout either. An incoming cold front will move south through southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois mid-day Saturday. Because of the timing of the front, there isn't a great threat for thunderstorms. With the front passing early in the day it will be hard to build enough instability needed for storms. Best chance for rain will be in the morning, through about 1-2pm. The front will continue into southern Illinois, giving them the best chance for thunderstorms Saturday afternoon.
The front will then settle into southern Illinois on Saturday night, with the rain staying south Sunday. Weak high pressure will build in Sunday afternoon with highs climbing back near 70 degrees.
That front will lift north Sunday night bringing back with it the threat for showers and storms next week.
