A passing cold front this morning will allow our winds to turn to the west, which will usher in cooler air for Friday. Today though we will warm to 70° before the cooler air settles in tonight when lows fall into the mid 40's. Highs on Friday will struggle to make it into the mid 60's behind the front. Along with the passing cold front today a secondary front arrives late Friday afternoon and temperatures fall even more into the weekend. Overnight lows both Friday night and Saturday night will fall into the upper 30's.
The second cold front will bring with it a little bit of rain, watch for showers to fire up with that front late in the afternoon Friday and will linger into the evening.
Along with the passing fronts, the pattern in the upper levels of the atmosphere changes as well. An elongated area of low pressure dives south from Canada creating a dip or trough in the jet stream across the Great Lakes and Midwest. This will also dislodge cooler air that dives south with the fronts as far south as Mississippi and Georgia. Temperatures will be stuck in the mid 50's both Saturday and Sunday.
