Watching the shores of Lake Michigan

A weak wind shift line down Lake Michigan this morning has produced a few flurries, which has now changed over to light rain, near the lake shores.  A wind shift line is basically wind from different directions coming together, or converging together.

A few reports of sleet have come in further inland in southeastern Wisconsin.  Look for this activity to try and spread further inland as the wind shift line continues south.  What was interesting early this morning was that the GEM computer model, which is the Canadian model, was developing a small low along southern Lake Michigan with accumulating snowfall reaching as far inland as McHenry county tonight and into Tuesday!  It's yet to be seen as to whether or not this will happen, but that's something we'll watch into the afternoon.
