Scattered Thursday Morning Storms

UPDATE: Torrential rainfall occurring near Mount Morris, Polo, and Leaf river heading into Oregon. Small hail also possible.

UPDATE: A line of strong thunderstorms moving through the area affecting Rockford, Roscoe, Dixon, Polo, Byron, Mount Morris and South Beloit, among others. Winds in excess of 40mph and dime size hail possible. Also torrential downpours associated with this, and could see some localized flooding.

UPDATE: Some pea sized hail recorded in Carroll County a little earlier this morning.

UPDATE: Heavy rain continuing for Galena and  south towards Hanover and Elizabeth as storms move through.

More rain moving through southern Wisconsin near Janesville and Beliot.

Scattered storms have been popping up on Precision Doppler this morning. Some now moving across the Mississippi River into Jo Daviess County. While the area is highlighted for a risk of stronger thunderstorms today, severe weather is not expected with these cells. That threat will increase as a warm front lifts across the area later today.
