The Week Ahead

Another spectacular day today with lighter winds and very nice temperatures in the low 80's.  We will enjoy another great day on Sunday!  What does next week look like?  The jet stream will be pushing well into Canada and bringing a storm system that will come ashore in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday and by Tuesday will be just north of us in Southern Canada.  This storm will tap into warm and humid gulf air to add fuel to the system.  What will we feel?   Well certainly it will feel much more muggy than this weekend, and with that moisture and heat, our atmosphere will become much more unstable.

The new storm system will intensify and send a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms our way starting as early as Tuesday morning, and then returning late Wednesday into Thursday morning with the passage of the main cold front.   The good news is that we need the rain, we continue to suffer from over 3 inch rain deficit for the year.

After Thursday, the system will move to the east and return weather similar to this weekend.  Enjoy your Sunday!
