Fantastic Weekend Ahead!

If you have not been the biggest fan of the heat and humidity this week, then the forecast for this weekend will be right up your alley. A weak and dry cool front is pushing through this morning, and that is going to be the reason why we see cooler and less humid conditions move in later today. Winds will turn northerly later today, which will allow the drier air to filter into the area from Canada. That dry air will lower dew point temperatures by this evening into the weekend into the upper 50s and lower 60s. That will make it feel much more comfortable outside.

Not only will it be less humid, but we will see plenty of sunshine from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. However, despite the plentiful sunshine, temperatures will not be oppressively hot. In fact, we may not break the 80-degree mark in many spots on Saturday. Otherwise, expect lower 80s through the weekend with overnight lows near 60°. So it is looking like a perfect weekend to get out and enjoy events, such as City Market, the Stephenson County Fair, the inaugural Rockford Town Fair, and ByronFest!
