Now that we're on the climb away from such cold temperatures over the weekend we can begin to look forward to slightly warmer temperatures returning over the next week. A few changes in our jet stream over the next few days will cause temperatures to change daily however an overall warming trend looks likely!

Through today we'll begin to see temperatures slowly climb thanks to a southwesterly wind transporting slightly warmer air. Temperatures will still be well below average however it will definitely feel warmer than the two days prior! Into the nighttime with the warmer air transported in, some low-level moisture will also bring the chances of fog throughout the state line.

Shifting our focus then to the next few days, a few changes in the upper-level jet stream will allow for daily swings in temperatures, however an overall increase in daily high temperatures looks likely. Thanks to two separate upper-level troughs on Tuesday and into Thursday, southerly winds will continue at the surface over this time helping to pump warmer air into the region while also slightly increasing precipitation chances.Taking a look at these temperatures over the next few days a warming trend is almost guaranteed. Through each day temperatures may swing as much as 10-15° thanks to a cold front moving in late Tuesday into Wednesday however with the mentioned southerly wind, temperatures will continue to recover each afternoon. The best precipitation chances look to arrive early Thursday morning when a stronger upper-level trough begins to move in.
