All tricks, no treats this Halloween
It could be one of the coldest Halloween days we've felt in years on Friday! Mother Nature will be giving us few treats this year as cold air is set to dislodge itself from central Canada. The average high for the 31st of October is 56°, but this year temperatures will be running 10°- 15° below that. You have to look all the way back to the Halloween of 2009 to find temperatures in the 40's. The high that day was 46°. If we fail to reach 46° Friday afternoon, this Halloween would be the coldest in Rockford in 12 years! It was 2002 that the high only reached 41°. That's a long time! Right now, we're forecasting a high of 45°.
