A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb and McHenry counties until Noon Monday. Dense fog was quick to develop Sunday night with visibility falling under one mile in many locations.
Temperatures are also well below freezing, in the teens, so freezing fog will be likely through Monday morning. This means untreated roads,
bridges and overpasses could become slick overnight. Take it slow and be sure to give yourself extra time on the commute Monday morning.
How quick the fog evaporates will have an impact on just how warm temperatures rise Monday afternoon. The longer the fog lasts, the cooler the temperature will likely be. Right now I have the forecast high at 30 degrees (down 5 degrees from earlier).
