Flurries and light snow continue to fall over Wisconsin and Illinois Sunday evening. Earlier in the day it was rain that was falling but as cooler air worked through north-central Illinois the transition over to snow started. When the transition occurred the snow was moderate to heavy and quickly accumulated on grassy surfaces.
As several disturbances work around low pressure centered over the Great Lakes, additional flurries and light snow showers will continue through night, however, no additional accumulation is expected.
Temperatures are currently either at or above freezing Sunday evening. Those numbers should fall on either side of 30 degrees by Monday morning. While the more traveled roads will likely be okay, there could be a few slick spots early Monday morning on the lesser traveled roads and secondary roads.
