I've received a few reports of freezing drizzle mixing in with some of the light snow moving in from the west Tuesday evening, with icing occurring mostly on windshields. There have also been reports from pilots across northern Illinois with aircraft icing late this afternoon.
I'm not expecting much for accumulation with either snow or freezing drizzle, but a glaze of ice is possible on untreated roads and
bridges/overpasses. The light wintry mix will continue through at least Midnight, with a slight chance lasting into Wednesday morning. There may be some impacts to the early morning commute Wednesday. Take it slow and use caution if heading out this evening.
