Where's The Rain?

Last night, a few drops fell in Boone County and on the far east side of Rockford, but significant, measurable rain continues to escape us. So far this month, we've only seen 0.15" of rain (0.98" below normal). Last month, we had 1.89" of rain (1.58" below normal), and August was even drier with rainfall falling 2.25" below average. Total it all up, and we are 4.81" below average in the rainfall department since August 1st! That's a month's worth of rain that we've missed-out on in the last 2 1/2 months. Our next chance of showers comes Monday of next week ahead of a strong cold front.  --TS
