A few showers and even a couple rumbles of thunder are beginning to move just north of Cedar Rapids, IA this morning as a mid-level disturbance kicks out of the central Plains. Some of those may move into our western counties later this morning but a better chance for all to see activity will be this afternoon and evening. As this disturbance moves through, additional thunderstorms will remain possible. While any major severe weather should hold off, a few of the stronger storms could produce gusty winds, hail and heavy rainfall.
