Weather Update

Storms continue to move southeast through Lee county this evening and the tornado warning continues until 9:30pm.  These storms will continue to produce heavy rainfall and likely some pretty good sized hail.








8:28pm Polo (Ogle Co.) Funnel Cloud reported by the public

8:32pm Dixon (Lee Co.) Funnel Cloud reported 911 Call Center






***Tornado Warning for DeKalb, Ogle and Lee counties until 9:30pm
Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado.  This storm was located near Franklin Grove and moving southeast at 25 mph.  Locations impacted include Rochelle, Franklin Grove, Ashton, Steward, Compton and Lee



Storms continue to fire late this evening in an environment that didn't see any storm development earlier.  There is one particular storm cell that needs some watching near Dixon as rotation has been detected with it.  Currently there are only severe thunderstorm warnings for Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, southern Boone, southern Winnebago and McHenry counties.
