Rain should stay west this morning

The showers and thunderstorms across western Iowa will remain to the west this morning thanks to dry air and high pressure across the Great Lakes.

These storms have formed along a warm front as the low level jet continue to pump moisture into the Midwest.  The high pressure for us should hold these storms at bay this morning but as a cold front approaches from the west look for rain and storm chances to increase later this evening and overnight.
