Arctic chill put on hold for the first couple weeks of November

While there may be a couple days where temperatures turn chilly, the next couple weeks appear to be lacking any significant arctic outbreak.  In fact, the latest November outlook from the Climate Prediction Center highlights the middle of the country with a higher probability of above average temperatures.  This comes as high pressure looks to be in full force through the southeast the next couple weeks.  This keeps, for the most part, a broad southwest flow in the jetstream and even though there will be a few cold fronts that pass their origins will be more from the pacific versus the arctic.

There is, however, a higher probability of having above average precipitation during the first couple weeks of November.  As the overall flow remains southwest moisture will continue to pulled northward with each passing system.  The November outlook also highlights about a 33% chance of above average precipitation for the area.
