Another Foggy Night

Many Stateline residents woke up to significant fog Monday morning, with most of that fog lasting through early afternoon.  As a result, high temperatures Monday remained in the upper 30's.

Visibility has improved some Monday evening, but there still is a little fog over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  Cloud cover has stayed pretty thick over the Midwest with skies expected to remain mostly cloudy during the overnight.  While it'll be cloudy tonight, that may actually work in our favor to limit extremely dense fog from developing.

Current visibility is anywhere between three and five miles, possibly dropping down below one mile early Tuesday morning.  Dew point temperatures are in the low 30's, and may actually rise a little overnight.  This should help hold air temperatures either right at, or slightly above, freezing limiting the amount of freezing fog.

While the fog might not be quite as dense as Monday morning, you'll still want to give yourself a little extra time for the commute.  Drizzle will be possible by the afternoon with light rain showers developing for the evening.
