Officer Cox Procession Forecast and Warmer Next Week

Definitely a cold one today as highs only made it into the low 30's this afternoon.  We're not supposed to be highs like that for another month!  We're way ahead of schedule, and we've got another cold overnight tonight.  Luckily, it won't be as cold as it was last night as we dipped into the teens.  We'll be in the low 20's, so still pretty cold.  It'll also be a little breezy, so wind chills will dip into the teens.

As we head into tomorrow, we'll see a few spots of sunshine during the morning, but it'll mostly be cloudy.  For those of you planning to be outside during the Procession tomorrow, you'll want to bundle up!  The procession will start around 11:30am, where we'll be in the mid 30's.  By the end of the Procession, which will be around 2:00pm, temperatures will be around 40°.  Unfortunately, our winds will pick up a little beforehand and bring our wind chills into the low 30's.

Once we get into late afternoon / evening tomorrow, a slight rain chance will be in play as a warm front will approach from the south.  Once we get into the late-night hours, where temperatures will dip into the mid 30's, more moisture will move in and increase our chances for a rain/snow mix during the overnight.  This will continue through Sunday morning, but once we get to Sunday afternoon we'll see temperatures get a little warmer, and thus only get some light rain.

Even though we've got a cold weekend ahead, we'll see a better weather pattern next week as winds will be mostly coming in from the south, gradually warming up our temperatures as we go through the work week.  There are chances for showers on Tuesday and Thursday, but it'll be worth it as we may very well hit the 50's during the middle of next week.
