November Has Been a Cloudy Month

Temperatures Wednesday warmed to 53 degrees in Rockford.  The first time the temperature has warmed above average, and only the second time the temperature has warmed into the low 50's this month.

The sunshine Wednesday afternoon was a welcomed sight following the rain, clouds and fog we started the day off with.  If you've thought it's been a cloudy month so far, you're right!  We are a little over two weeks into the month of November and 12 of those days have either been mostly cloudy or cloudy!  Typically, November and December are usually the cloudiest months for the Midwest and Great Lakes as the seasons begin to change to a much cooler pattern.  The sun angle is getting lower and isn't as efficient in getting rid of some of the clouds as it is during the warmer months.

There should be more sunshine Thursday afternoon before cloud cover moves back in ahead of yet another system that will move in for the weekend.  After that, perhaps a few more sun filled days early next week!
