Warming trends continue with dry weather this weekend

It was another seasonably warm day in the Stateline with high temperatures reaching the upper 60s and low 70s across the board. Temperatures will drop again under clear skies tonight, but only into the upper 30s and low 40s, very similar to what we saw the night before.

The weekend ahead will feature warmer than average temperatures with highs well into the 70s. This will allow for fabulous trunk-or-treating weather, no need for any extra layers on those costumes this weekend!

High pressure remains dominant, keeping us clear and dry through the weekend. We will see a little bit of moisture in the form of high clouds Sunday, but we remain dry through the weekend with lots of dry air in place.

Our next chances for rain don't look that impressive but arrive in the form of a weak weather system Tuesday morning. This brings more cloud cover, but not much rainfall. That is because there is still a lot of dry air to overcome especially near the surface before the rain could reach the ground. I suspect most if not all will remain dry during that system. Another slim chance arrives Wednesday along a cold front. The strength of this front may provide enough forcing to counter the dry air, but rain chances look spotty at best, with many picking up only 0.1" or less.
