Snow in Seattle?
It's not exactly unheard of, but not all that common either. Seattle, WA averages 7.1" of snow in an average winter. Compare that to the 35 to 40" that falls in an average winter for most of the Stateline, and you see what I mean. An Arctic cold front will move into the Pacific northwest Wednesday into Wednesday night. This will lower snow levels to near sea-level in the Seattle area. An upper-level low strengthening over the region will provide the instability for precipitation, which will fall as snow in most areas. Up to 6" may fall in some areas at or just a touch above sea-level.
