Another Cold Blast Coming?

I must remind you that this is a little ways out and it could change but the latest run of the GFS weather model is indicating a much colder blast of arctic air by the end of this month.  Looks like sometime around the 27th or 28th.   The image on the left shows the temperatures, height and wind plotted at 850mb for next Thursday evening.  The temperatures at this level fall anywhere between -9° and -12°!  This would suggest highs in the upper 30s/low 40s!

In the coming days we'll see if this will in fact really play out!  May be a chilly one for the weekend trick or treaters!
