100 degrees on the Way Again?
Temperatures reached the middle 90's on Sunday, and are set to go even higher as we enter the work week. The extreme heat will last through Tuesday, and there is the possibility that the high temperature could reach 100 degrees on either Monday or Tuesday afternoons (or both) in spots across the Stateline. A cool front will push into the area on Tuesday evening giving the area a chance for some much needed rainfall in the form of showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday will be cooler with lingering chances of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. If the Stateline does receive some rainfall, it appears as if the amounts will be meager, and do very little to alleviate the severe drought conditions that have developed. At least the afternoon highs will drop back into the upper 80's, which, although cooler, are still above average for this time of year. High temperatures will be in the 80's for the rest of the work week before rising back into the low 90's on Saturday.
