Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Boone, DeKalb and McHenry counties until 11:15pm

Pretty good storm right now around Pecatonica extending just southwest of Mt. Morris. Large hail and winds in excess of 60 mph will be possible.




Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Winnebago, Lee and Ogle counties until 10:45pm.  Looking at the possibility of quarter sized or greater hail and damaging wind gusts




Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Stephenson county until 9:45pm and Winnebago, Boone and McHenry counties until 10:15pm.  A line of storms extends from Walworth to Beloit to just west of Freeport and will continue to move east.  The radar is detecting the potential for some pretty good sized hail with the storm west of Freeport.  Large hail and wind gusts of 70 mph remain possible.

Stephenson Co, Freeport - 50 mph thunderstorm wind gust

Jo Daviess Co, NW Hanover - thunderstorm wind damge; gusts near 70 mph with numerous trees down

Stephenson Co, Lena - thunderstorm wind gust of 62 mph

McHenry Co, Spring Grove - thunderstorm wind damage -20 to 30 year old tree snapped

The storms in southern Wisconsin have produced a gust front, or outflow boundary, that will continue to bring wind gusts across Boone and McHenry counties.

Rock Co, WI - Janesville Aiport measured 56 mph thunderstorm wind gust

Rock Co, WI - 5 NE Beloit - 80 mph thunderstorm wind gust

Winnebago Co., South Beloit - thunderstorm wind gust - 5" branch down

Winnebago Co., Machesney Park - 55mph thunderstorm wind gust

Walworth Co., WI: 2 W Delavan - Roof damage to buildings

Green Co., WI:  Brodhead - 51 mph thunderstorm wind gust

Rock Co., WI:  Evansville - 70mph thunderstorm wind gust

Rock Co.,WI:  SE Evansville - 59mph thunderstorm wind gust
