Cloud cover cleared out overnight, leaving morning temps on either side of the 10° mark. Winds were light but cold out of the northwest, though varied in strength. That's why some locales walked out to wind chills similar to the air temperature and others walked out to wind chills below zero.
Sunshine tags along with this morning chill, though clouds will gradual build towards midday. This, along with today's light northwesterly wind will leave highs in the low 20s, and chills in the teens. High pressure sliding to our south will help clear this cloud cover out by early tonight, leaving us mostly clear into Thursday morning. Overnight lows will once again fall into the lower teens.
Thursday will be a "copy and paste" of today, with sunshine gradually caving to cloud cover. A change in wind will leave flow out of the south and southwest, bringing temperatures up a degree or two. Cloud cover stays put overnight Thursday into Friday as a weak disturbance slides to our north. Ahead of this waves associated cold front, the chance for light snow showers climbs, resulting in what may be the Stateline's first snowflakes of 2025.
