With a late fall chill expected by the end of the week, it may have some getting ready to check out one of nature's most beautiful scenes: the changing leaves!
I've seen a few trees that have started to turn color, but colors really begin to peak in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin usually towards the end of September to the middle of October. If you can't wait until then, then you'll have to travel a little further north where colors should be changing in northern Wisconsin within the next couple of weeks.
And remember to take pictures of those beautiful colors! We always love to see them in the First Warn Weather center!
