After another stretch of dry weather, we look to end the week with potentially heavy rain. Two low pressure systems moving through the end of the week will bring rain into the Stateline. First low pressure system will track into southern portions of Canada and it's trailing cold front will bring storms through Iowa Thursday afternoon, and there could be some stronger storms west of the Mississippi. The cold front moves closer to the area Thursday night into Friday and that will bring our first round of storms. You'll most likely have to dodge some showers and storms Friday morning for your commute. As the front moves through it looks to stall close to the Stateline which will keep a threat for isolated to scattered storms in the afternoon, but it doesn't look like a wash out for your afternoon. Another low pressure system develops over Oklahoma at the tail of the cold front. This low pressure system will move over the area as the front continues to slowly pull through Friday afternoon and this will bring back a thunderstorm threat for late Friday afternoon into Friday evening, we will have to keep an eye on this for all of the Friday night football games coming up! Over all rain totals looks to be around an inch for some. The front moves out of the area for Saturday and the weekend remains dry, but temperatures will be much cooler than what we had this week. Highs on Friday will fall into the mid and upper 70's while highs will hover right around 70° for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will slowly warm up as we look towards the end of next week.
